SmartCella expands patent for the Extroducer® into the US and Japan

SmartCella is a global drug delivery company pioneering innovative delivery solutions for targeted therapies. The main technology, the Extroducer®, is a modality-agnostic endovascular delivery device designed for localized delivery to hard-to-reach organs, tumors, and tissues.

The US patent for the Extroducer® was approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and in Japan, approved by Japan Patent Office. The patent covers the design of the distal part of the Extroducer®, which penetrates the vessel wall and moves smoothly towards the target location. The patent will remain valid for 20 years, which is in line with global patent standards.

Both new patents have the same claims as the patent granted by the European Patent Office (EPO) in November 2024.
